Into the Fog - out latest experiment toward printing perfection
We’ve been running some cracking tests on our latest 3D print, and we thought we’d share something cool from the process!
By creating water vapour over the printbed we keep the humidity high. The delta between the print temperature and the air temperature results in a convection whirlwind that keeps the surface of the print moist. This traps the water inside the print, preventing shrinkage cracking. A fog-like effect is generated by the moisture around the print. This setup is part of our experiment to see how different conditions impact cracking of the concrete.
Stay tuned for more insights from our testing process.
