"Line of Beauty and Grace" 3D Concrete Printed Bench

Sculptural Seating for Singer Laren Museum
This 3D printed concrete bench was created for the Singer Laren Museum, bringing together form, function, and fabrication. Inspired by the flourish of an artist’s signature, the bench offers an elegant gesture in the landscape—doubling as a comfortable, durable seating element.

A Collaboration in Parametric Craftsmanship
Commissioned by Heilijgers and designed by Kiki & Joost, the bench was fabricated by Vertico using robotic 3D concrete printing. The design celebrates the creative potential of digital manufacturing while maintaining full structural performance. With over 10 benches printed, four are now installed at the museum.

This architectural concrete bench debuted at Dutch Design Week 2023, where it received attention for its sculptural beauty, material honesty, and real-world utility. A true example of how concrete design can transcend utility into art.
